In a significant step towards advancing collaboration in digital transformation, the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Government of the Republic of Korea have reaffirmed their shared vision through the signing and renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in the field of Smart City Development.
Yang Mulia Ir. Mohammad Nazri Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), attended the 59th ASEAN Senior Transport Officials Meeting (STOM) and the 4th ASEAN-United States Senior Transport Officials Dialogue (ASEAN-US STOD) held in Yangon, Myanmar on 21 – 23 May 2025.
On 20 May 2025, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications of Brunei Darussalam, held a bilateral meeting with Her Excellency Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) at their headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 2025 Annual Session of the United Nation Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) Advisory Board, which was attended by Yang Berhormat Minister in his capacity as a member of the UNRSF Advisory Board representing the Asia-Pacific region.
Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, represented Brunei Darussalam at the 2025 Annual Session of the United Nation Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) Advisory Board, held in Geneva, Switzerland on 19 May 2025.
